Terms of Service

Last updated: September 19, 2026

These terms apply to your use of this website and to any order you place with us. By browsing this site or placing an order, you agree to them. Please read them before ordering.

1. Who we are

This store is operated by Thimblelark, a small independent studio based in Chongqing, China. We design craft kits and ship them directly to customers in the United States and Canada. You can reach us at support@thimblelark.com.

2. Your order is an offer, and we must accept it

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation. Until then we may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item is out of stock, if there is an obvious pricing error, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel, we will refund you in full.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in US dollars and are exclusive of any taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but a change will never affect an order you have already placed. Payment is taken at the time of ordering and is processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.

If an item is listed at a price that is clearly wrong — for instance a decimal point in the wrong place — we may cancel the order and refund you rather than fulfil it.

4. Product descriptions and colours

We describe our kits as accurately as we can, including the components, the approximate finished size, and the skill level each kit is aimed at. Please read the product page before ordering.

Screens display colour differently. A slight variation between the colours on your screen and the threads in your kit is normal and is not a fault.

5. Craft kits are materials, and you make the finished item

Our kits contain materials, charts, and instructions. You complete the stitching and finishing yourself. The finished result depends on your own work, so we cannot promise a particular outcome. If a component is missing, faulty, or damaged on arrival, that is our responsibility — contact us and we will put it right.

6. Shipping, delivery, and risk

Delivery times, charges, and our Christmas cut-off dates are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, because international transit and customs clearance are outside our control.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a parcel arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging before opening it fully and contact us — see our Returns & Refunds Policy.

7. Returns and refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please contact us before sending anything back.

8. Our designs and intellectual property

All designs, patterns, charts, photographs, illustrations, and text on this site are our own original work and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to make the kits you buy, and to give the finished items as gifts.

You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or publish our patterns, charts, or instructions; use them to produce items for sale; or reproduce our photographs or text without our written permission. Buying a kit gives you the materials and the right to make that kit — it does not transfer any rights in the design itself.

9. Using this website

Please do not misuse this site — for example by attempting to disrupt it, scraping it at volume, or using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or refuse access if we believe it is being misused.

10. Limits on our liability

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier disruptions, customs action, extreme weather, or industrial action. If such an event affects your order, we will contact you and, where appropriate, offer a refund.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

13. Governing law and disputes

[GOVERNING LAW — to be completed once your business entity is registered]

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE/COUNTRY], and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.

Before starting any formal action, please contact us at support@thimblelark.com. In practice, almost everything is resolved with one email.
